1. Introduction
Welcome to OnePlug Pay. OnePlug Pay ("we", "our", or "us") is dedicated to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, and process your data when you use our payment and financial services app, including your wallet, money transfers, and bill payments.
2. Information We Collect
- Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, and physical address provided during registration.
- KYC Data: Identity details required by regulation, such as your National Identification Number (NIN), date of birth, a photo of your ID document, and a selfie. When you verify your Bank Verification Number (BVN), it is checked with NIBSS through Flutterwave after you approve the request; we record only whether the name matched and never store your BVN.
- Financial Information: Your wallet balance, the bank details you enter for transfers, and your transaction history for deposits, transfers, and bill payments.
- Device & Usage Data: Device identifiers, IP addresses, location data, and app usage analytics to improve service quality.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To facilitate and process deposits, transfers, and bill payments.
- To comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
- To provide customer support and send service-related notifications.
- To detect and prevent physical or financial fraud.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. Your data is only shared with trusted third parties necessary for app operations, such as:
- Paystack and its partner banks, which provide your dedicated account number for wallet deposits.
- Flutterwave, which processes bank transfers and bill payments and delivers verification codes (OTPs).
- Cloudinary, which stores the images you upload for identity verification.
- Google Firebase, which delivers push notifications.
- Legal Authorities: Only when strictly required by law to comply with legal processes.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including HTTPS encryption, secure database architectures, and tokenized payment processing to safeguard your sensitive data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data. You can delete your account from within the app (Account → Delete Account) or by contacting our support team; see how to delete your account. When an account is deleted we remove or anonymize your personal information. Records of completed financial transactions are retained for the period required by applicable anti-money-laundering and financial regulations.
